I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
