Tuchel Affirms No Issue with Bellingham, Foden, or Grealish

Thomas Tuchel stated that he has "no problem" with Phil Foden following these players were omitted the Three Lions squad for forthcoming fixtures against Wales and Latvia.

The midfielder did not earn a recall despite recovering from a shoulder issue, while the Manchester City and Everton players also miss out although showing a return to form with their respective clubs.

The German manager revealed that the 22-year-old wanted to be included of the squad, having spoken with him on the phone.

"Bellingham is a special player, and for exceptional talents there can always be exceptions," the coach remarked about the Real Madrid star, who's made just one start since returning to full health.

"But we decided to stick with the simple decision of inviting the identical squad.

"Bellingham always deserves to be here. There is also the situation that he has not fully regained his full rhythm again at Real Madrid - he has not completed a full game.

"The player expressed a desire to be selected. We conducted a phone call."

Tuchel was keen to highlight his positive relationship with the midfielder following Tuchel apologized to him previously for calling his conduct during a match as "disgusting" in a televised interview.

The German explained that he uttered those terms "unintentionally" and promised to be more careful going forward.

Inquired if he had any issue with the player, he responded: "No. There is no issue either with Foden or Jack Grealish.

"Foden is back to influencing and deciding games for Manchester City. Grealish is almost to being back to the best version of himself.

"There exists no personal issue."

Bukayo Saka taking the place of the hurt Madueke is the only change to last month's squad, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Quansah retaining their places after being late additions last month due to fitness concerns.

England play the Welsh team in a friendly at Wembley Stadium on Thursday before a qualifying match in the Latvian capital on October 14.

Should the team triumph in the away fixture, they will require a maximum of two points from their final two qualifiers - against Albania and Serbia in November - to secure a spot in the upcoming World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Strong Performance By Tuchel

England delivered their best display significantly under the manager's guidance when they beat the Serbian team five-nil on the road in the Serbian capital last time out.

Tuchel says that showing made it an straightforward choice to keep mostly the identical group, though "there are no certainties" for any player regarding selection.

"Our previous gathering was just three and a half weeks ago and the teamwork and spirit was at its peak. That is the reason we decided to call up the same group to this session," he said.

"Foden is in a very good moment. Wharton deserves to be with us. Curtis Jones and Trevoh Chalobah are getting playing time with their clubs.

"There are players who deserve to be here. Cole Palmer is injured and is a special player. It will consistently remain the case.

"Is our team a better team with Bellingham? Absolutely. But I told you before, what do we do if he is injured before the tournament? Do we just cancel?"

The Manager's Media Briefing Gets Noticed

The England manager once more gave a headline-grabbing press briefing.

He, a expert of managing his interactions with the press, began with an opening statement to set out his reasoning for his decisions.

The midfielder is fit and available and expressed interest to join to the squad, but the coach has said he did not want to alter the team too much after a impressive 5-0 victory over their opponents - where the manager noted team spirit was extremely strong.

But with Tuchel not selecting Bellingham, and his frequent comments about togetherness, it is difficult to avoid connect the aspects - even though he insisted repeatedly how he is "special" and that there is "no issue" between him and one of England's star players.

Tuchel has consistently made it clear that he wanted to make the England squad seem like a club side and, by retaining the same squad after a statement win, he has achieved that. But the inquiries will come again in the next camp if England win well in these next two matches.
